About

Sapid Labs is an AI research company being built by one person, in the open. The word sapid means "having a strong, pleasant flavor" — the goal is research worth tasting.

The lab works on three threads:

• Intelligence — what it actually is, how to measure it, and where today's models fall short.
• Alternative AI architectures — exploring learning systems beyond the dominant transformer paradigm.
• Applied AI systems — agents, tools, and products that put research to work. Open source projects will be shared here as they mature.
